Chicory is an extensively refitted Nordhavn 46 pilothouse trawler/motorsailer. Nearly every system and component has been repaired, refurbished or replaced on her. Chicory is a great example of why Nordhavn has built over sixty of this very popular 46' model over ten years. Her classic styling includes her Portuguese Bridge, forward sloping pilothouse windows, steadying sail rig and Asymetrical main deck layout. 46' Nordhavn Vessel Walkthrough
Entering the large salon through the sliding aft door from the cockpit, one finds a sofa to starboard, U-shaped seating with Teak hi/lo table to port and the galley further forward to port. There is a nav station with desk and chair starboard forward next to the steps to the raised pilothouse. The pilothouse has side doors on each side and a stairwell starboard forward to the staterooms. The starboard side deck gives full access from the cockpit to the foredeck. The port side deck forward leads to the tender deck.
46' Nordhavn Accommodations
Chicory offers an amidship master stateroom for maximum comfort underway. The guest stateroom is forward and both staterooms offer ensuite heads. Each stateroom offers classic teak decor, but they are also very light and airy and not claustrophobic.

The salon offers plenty of natural light and ventilation through large windows and the large sliding aft door. There is comfortable seating to port with a teak hi/lo table.

There is a teak hi/lo dining table in the salon and a teak trim table with the settee in the pilothouse.
46' Nordhavn Master Stateroom
The amidship master stateroom offers a queen berth, ensuite head, hanging locker, storage cabinetry, Teak & Spruce sole. There are two separate access doors to the engine room from the master stateroom.
46' Nordhavn Guest Stateroom
The guest stateroom is forward with ensuite head, Teak & Spruce sole, overhead deck hatch, hanging locker, storage cabinetry, twin size berth to port and a sofa/single berth to starboard.
46' Nordhavn Pilothouse
One of the most significant projects aboard Chicory has been the construction of a new helm. The original design of a Nordhavn 46 did not allow enough space for a proper helm seat. This required the skipper to stand at the helm when not under auto-pilot or in some cases use a small foldable wooden bench fitted atop a steal pole. Chicory's helm is wrapped in black Ultra Leather with flat screen monitors mounted in front of the helm chair.
The Sea Post helm chair is located to allow maximum visibilty, access to electronics and allow traffic bewteen the helm chair and the settee. The helm chair has the skipper's legs slightly under the helm counter top, which makes steering, throttle, gear and computer controls all accessible without leaning forward.
The pilothouse port settee is upholstered in Ultra leather with twin rows of saddle stitching. The day berth has 2 inches of additional padding to ensure the user is comfortable. Both sides of the settee are padded with matching upholstery. There is also a teak trim table.
The headliner is also upholstered with Ultra leather. The panels are easily removable and have adjustable LED lights installed. The sole is a beautiful, classic Teak & Spruce.

There is a nav station/office with desk and chair in the starboard forward salon next to the steps to the raised pilothouse.
